About
LawZo Haven Zine is a multi project One Piece fanzine about the relationship between Law and Zoro. This fanzine is brought to you by members of the LawZoHaven Discord channel as main contributors with guest artists and writers from Twitter, Tumblr, and AO3 with the possibility of a small selections of applicants.
LawZo Haven will have both Canonverse and AUs and may have manga spoilers.While it highlights the romantic relationship between Law and Zoro, some elements may be more platonic in nature or have other minor ships in the content as well.There will be separate NSFW content for those who can legal file their own taxes.
There will be a physical and digital distribution to this zine as well as fan merch.The NSFW zine will only be available in digital format and sold separately from the main zine.You must be 18+ in order to purchase the content containing taxes.

| Will the zine be for profit, charity, free, or something in-between? | It is mostly for profit. Our first goal is to make sure all of our contributors are compensated with a contributor package. Then upgrades to the zine and merch. Left over funds will be discussed with all contributors at the end of the project. |
| Is this zine exclusively a shipping zine? | It is heavily a shipping zine between Law and Zoro. There may be some content that is more platonic in nature depending on the contributor. But the main focus is on their relationship. The NSFW add-on will be exclusively shipping content. |
| Is this AU? | There will be a mix of canonverse and AU content. |
| If apps open, do you have to be fluent in English? | In short, no. We do have a team for line/copy editing. However, you will have to be able to communicate/write well enough in English. All samples will need to be in English as well. |
| Is there a timeline for the second zine? | Not yet. It will depend on the mod team’s availability once the first project has concluded. |
| Will the contributors from the first zine be in the second? | We can’t guarantee which contributors will return. Or if they do, what type of content they will be contributing. |
| Why more than one project? | Because we really love LawZo. We also want to be able to bring in other contributors that love LawZo that aren’t in the first zine, and to keep things cost efficient for us and purchasers we have to be conscious of the size and weight of our physical products. |
| Have the themes for the zines been chosen? | For the first zine, we have all agreed that the general theme will be a summer time/vacation vibe. We haven’t picked anything for the second yet. |
| Will there be an interest check for the second zine? | Yes. We will still want to hear any feedback from the community for the second project. Although the interest questions will more than likely be different than our first. |
| When will applications open for the second zine? | Once we have an idea of a timeline for the second project we will make announcements on when they will open. Most likely it will be in the second half of next year. |

Applications
Contributor Guidelines
All applicants must be over 18 years old.Social media following and prior zine experience will not affect your application.Contributors (an artist and a writer) may collaborate to create companion pieces.You can apply for multiple positions but you will only be asked to provide one piece. If you wish to create more than one, the number of pieces will be agreed upon with the mod team.
Artists Application Guidelines
All applicants are required to provide samples of their work in order to be considered for their position.We will review 3-5 pieces of full illustrations/comics.If you are also interested in applying to create merchandise, please also include 1-3 samples of previous merch items you have created (if any).While appreciated, your samples do not have to pertain to the theme or ship. They can be artwork of other characters from other series.Portfolios are encouraged but not required.Applications will be judged based on your skills in anatomy, composition, coloring, and perspective.
Writer Application Guidelines
All applicants are required to provide samples of their work in order to be considered for their position.We will review up to 3 samples of your work. We will review your pieces totaling no more than 3000 words for PROSE, and no more than 5 pages for POETRY. Excerpts from longer pieces are welcome.While appreciated, your samples do not have to pertain to the theme or ship. They can also be of other characters in different fandoms.Portfolios are encouraged but not required.Applications will be judged based on grammar (including punctuation), spelling, vocabulary, formatting and storytelling/flow.
